Brief Explanation
To create interest in this little known part of Japan - the story of the Alien of Ariake was written. Based on the fact that the local fish delicacy bares a striking resemblance to Ridley Scotts “Alien”. (As you can see from the pictures it is a very easy mistake to make.)
We were able to use this resemblance to claim an alien sighting, so stirring people’s interest to visit the city. Filmed through the eyes of a young couple who find the fishes skeleton on the muddy beach.
What better way to share this than as a news report we could release through social media of the mysterious alien remains they had found and how this fictitious story scared the locals, attracted the attention of the government, and even stirred the interest of the CIA.
