Brief Explanation
Automobile-Club d’Italia wanted to make young Italians aware of the risks of unsafe driving, promoting Ready2Go, their no-profit driving courses for road safety and behaviour education. We chose to convey this message to young people with a amusing viral video, avoiding an institutional video drama. An absurd how embarrassing event caused by our protagonist ignoring traffic rules and blocking a street near Naples. Shot using iphones, actors, extras and locals, we filmed for a whole day making sure every detail was realistic. The viral was posted unbranded, as an amateur footage, on a personal YouYube account and shared on social media. At the peak of interest, ACI revealed viral's authorship on national press and in the most popular TV show in Italy, highlighting the importance of road discipline. We hope the video stimulated people to reflect on their road behaviour, not only to avoid embarrassing scenes, like the guy in the video, but also to avoid being a risk for themselves and for the others.
