YGAward recognizes the “tomorrow” of the communications industry; who and what to watch out for. YGA celebrates the future, not the past. It celebrates potential.
YGA is now in its 15th year of recognizing young talent globally. Quite an achievement for a drunken idea by three people - Kristian Barnes, Jason Williams and Michael Kean - who still run YGA as a labour of love in their 2nd lives. It goes to show that if you have a great idea, absolute faith, grit, dedication and some help you can achieve anything.
That is the founding principles and purpose of YGA, to support young talent. Those whose potential is just starting to be realized, the ones who will change the world we live in, the ones who others will aspire to be in a few years.
YGA is the only show that truly focuses on young talent, providing a window to the creative leaders and influencers of tomorrow. A barometer if you like. YGA has done a lot of marketing leading initiatives in its lifespan, but rather than list them, here is a photo of what we looked like 15 years ago.
